Kashmir and Ladakh are two beautiful regions in the northern part of India that offer a wide range of tourism opportunities. Kashmir is known for its breathtaking scenery. It is also famous for its cultural heritage, including the ancient temples and mosques.

Ladakh, on the other hand, is known for its stunning landscapes, including the cold desert, snow-capped mountains, and high-altitude lakes. It is also famous for its unique culture, including the colorful festivals and traditional music.

Some popular tourist attractions in Kashmir include Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam, and Sonmarg, while popular tourist attractions in Ladakh include Leh, Nubra Valley, Pangong Tso, and Tso Moriri.

Itinerary

Day 1 :
Srinagar

On arrival at Srinagar, you will be transferred to the Houseboat. Afternoon Half day tour of world famous Mughal Gardens visiting the Nishat Bagh (The garden of pleasure) and Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love). The rest of the day is at leisure. Stay overnight in Srinagar.

Morning after breakfast, take a day excursion tour of Gulmarg, which is one of the most beautiful summer resorts in the valley. It is also popular for its golf course (in summer), the highest in the world and skiing during the winter season. Enjoy the splendor of nature and the snowy mountains. One can have Gondola ride (cable car) from Gulmarg to Khilanmarg. Stay overnight in Srinagar Hotel.

Full day excursion to Pahalgam 2440 Mtrs (vale of Kashmir) on the way visit Saffron fields, Avantipur ruins and Anantnag sulpher spring. Pahalgam is the most famous place for Indian Film Industry. Enjoy the nature charm of the valley. In the evening return back to Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

Morning after breakfast drive to Kargil. The road passes through the panoramic village to reach Sonmarg (2740 meters). After Sonmarg the road is mostly rough and wet to Zojila pass 3527 meters (Gateway of Ladakh). Continue drive towards Drass (The second coldest inhabited place in the World) where we stop passport check. Another 2.5 hours drive will take us to Kargil (2710 meters). Stay overnight in Kargil.

Morning after breakfast drive to Leh. Today we have to move up three passes this day will be exhausting but panoramic too. The first Buddhist village will be Mulbekh a giant Buddha Sculpture on Rock Mountain. We have to cross the highest pass (Fotula 13749ft) on Srinagar Leh route. Enroute visit the Lamayuru oldest Monastery of Ladakh (optional). Continue drive to next village Nimu a view of the confluence of Zanskar River & Indus River enroute visit Alchi Gompa, Magnetic Hill, Pathar Sahib Gurudwara, Hall of fame. Finally, we reach Leh 3500 meters. Stay overnight in Leh.

After breakfast drive to Sindhu Darshan and about 7 kms from Leh on the bank of the Historical Indus River. Later proceed to visit Shey Place, The ancient capital of Ladakh and Thikse Monastery located on top of a hill; the Monastery is an excellent example of Ladakhi architecture. This contains several Stupas, Statues, Thangka, Wall Paintings and a large pillar depicting Buddha's teachings. Later visit Stok Palace Museum. Return to Leh in the evening visit Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace, Market. Stay overnight in Leh.

After breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley (Known as the Valley of Flowers and the warmest region in Ladakh) via Khardung La pass. This road is considered to be the highest motorable road of the world. Enroute, admire the spectacular views of the never ending snow-capped mountain ranges around Khardung La Pass (18,390 feet). After spending some time at Khardung La, proceed to Nubra. After Hotel check-in, Visit Diskit Monastery and enjoy camel Safari in the evening. Stay overnight stay in Nubra.

We will start the day following the same route towards Leh till we reach Khalsar. From the Agyam bridge, we will take the left route which leads us to the villages of Shyok and Durbuk. After Durbuk, take left towards Tangtse and follow the route. Drive further to Pangong Lake one of the largest and most beautiful natural brackish lakes in the Himalayas. Situated at 14000 ft, more than half of the lake is within Chinese Territory and only one third part lies in India. Stay Overnight in Pangong.

Early morning enjoy the picturesque view of Sun rise on the lake.There is an ample opportunity for a photo shoot. After breakfast drive back to Leh, take a short halt at Changla Pass to enjoy a cup of hot steaming tea. On the way can visit Rancho school. Transfer to Leh. Stay overnight in Leh.

Day 10 :
Leh

Early morning transfer to Leh airport to board flight back to destination. Journey ends with Sweet Memories of Kashmir Ladakh.
